An interesting choice for those wishing to make a change from the Indian/Chinese/Pizza takeaway rotation. The owner was very helpful on the phone and in person, and even phoned me afterwards to see if I enjoyed the meal!
I particularly enjoyed the goat suya - which is deep fried goat in a spicy coating. The opportunity to get Nigerian brewed beer was also a highlight, and it wasn't too dear at £4 for a pint bottle.
On the down side, I think that the veg in the jollof rice was from a frozen veg pack, and it would have been nice if it had been freshly cooked. Another piece of goat in the stew would also have been nice to justify to £9 price.
This probably isn't going to be your regular takeaway, but if you're interested in trying something different I definitely recommend giving it a go. I would even phone up to get the owner's recommendations on a traditional Nigerian selection.
